now now.. smile

ok, check to see if your cluster has the wiring already built in. take the hood off from around the cluster and look at the plug on the far driver's side. if you see a BLUE wire..should be in the number 1 or 2 slot..that's yer tach signal. i've never hooked up an aftermarket tach before..if you only have one wire to hook up, that's it..the tach signal. if there's two more wires, one is ground and the other is power. your ground will be black..ground it anywhere against metal or splice it in to the black wire on the gauge cluster. other will be power..look for the yellow (i'm pretty sure but not positive) and splice that in. give me more info and i'll try to help dude.

If you want the theory behind it, when reading, the brain looks for word shapes in order to recognise the world as a whole. Now while this is possible in normal text, ALL-CAPS removes the word shape, making it harder to read as the words are all a box-like shape.

In-forum it is the equivilent of shouting (not particularly acceptable in conversation). Likewise using it in headers.

Maybe some college courses to specifacly (sic) work on your communication skills hmm? biggrin

I thought this was a site to discuss issues on honda vehicles, not a site to degrade people on there inperfect typing! If you have any help on the tach issue at hand,i will listen. If not then go back to playing checkers.
quote:
Originally posted by Setanta:

He's just messing around with you man.Anyways a tach is super easy to hook-up i put one in my 91 civic dx. Under the distributer cap you should see two wires one will be blue and one should be green (if i remember right) and they are labeled neagative and positive. Then you just follow the insrtuctions you got with your tach and its done.BTW what color is your hatch?

My hatch is blue.I have purchased all extras at mikes in mallets bay.The only wire i am confused about on the tach is the green wire.Does the green wire hook up to the negative green wire under distrib.cap?
quote:
Originally posted by ToLowHB:
